Devised by Birmingham City Council, the Backing Birmingham / People make places campaign will help to promote independent retailers and businesses in local shopping areas and within the city centre itself.
The cost of the campaign is funded from the Government’s High Street Support Scheme to help cities affected by the recent disturbances.
The campaign includes a free special card (B Card). This card gives Birmingham residents the chance to enjoy special offers at participating independent businesses during October. The stores taking part will display ‘Backing Birmingham’ signs in their windows.
Many businesses have already signed, up and more are joining them every day. So look out for the Backing Birmingham signs on a High Street very near you.
