Coventry Road
One of Birmingham’s largest and more culturally diverse shopping centres, Coventry Road occupies the area between Birmingham City Football Club and the Small Heath Highway. It not only offers an incredible variety of shopping opportunities with great value from hundreds of independent retailers, it’s also a place of space and greenery with parks including Small Heath Park.
SHOPPING
Coventry Road is a centre for everyone. A place where greengrocers displaying the freshest exotic fruits and vegetables sit alongside quality butchers, bakers, and fishmongers, and every shopping trip offers something delicious and new to discover. A friendly and welcoming area, there’s a wealth of Asian fashion retailers, restaurants, gift shops, jewellers and more – all waiting to be enjoyed.
DINING
Coventry Road’s impressive menu of cuisines reads like a world map. Indian, Mediterranean, Asian, Chinese, Lebanese… there’s a selection of restaurants and eateries to satisfy everyone – and have them coming back again and again.
BIRMINGHAM CITY FC
Originally called Small Heath Alliance back in 1875, it wasn’t until 1943 that the name Birmingham City Football Club was adopted. Its ground in Small Heath is known as St Andrew’s and has been the team’s home since 1906. As well as bringing wealth and trade to the Coventry Road area, the Blues bring a sense of pride and unity to this culturally diverse community.
SPORTS AND LEISURE
From archery to climbing, snowboarding to kayaking, Ackers Adventure occupies a place in the hearts of young people right across Birmingham. Its enormous range of outward bound-style activities and pursuits make it a hugely popular destination for those looking for challenges and pulse-racing excitement.
